The Renault Sport F1 Team driver is weighting up two different options
Montmelo, February 25th.- Carlos Sainz has asked his fans for help via Social Media as he makes a decision on the helmet he will use in the upcoming 2018 Formula 1 season.
The Spaniard of Renault Sport F1 Team has shared a video with his fans, filmed in the Pit-Lane of the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, in which he shows the two helmet liveries he will use in winter testing.
Carlos has trusted once again in Dave Designs, who was repeated the same color pattern of last year and produced two different variations.
The first one carries the same colour scheme as last year, combining carbon-fibre black and the colors of the Spanish flag.
The second option includes a yellow pattern in the front side, the same colour as in the Renault R.S.18 that Carlos will be driving in the 2018 World Championship.
Both designs include Carlos’ sponsors, with Renault, Red Bull, Mapfre –in its destinctive red color– and Estrella Galicia 0,0. It also fearures Carlos’ personal trademarks: a chili and Maria de Villota’s star on the back end, and his number 55 on top.
Faced with this dilemma, the Spaniard has asked his fans for their opinion on the matter.
“Hello guys. I am already in Barcelona, ready to introduce my helmet designs for 2018. I’ve got two of them. One carries the same colour pattern as last year and the other one has some yellow in front. I like the black one better, although the yellow one suits the car better. Comment and let me know. Thanks!”
Formula 1 winter testing will begin tomorrow Monday at rhe Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, which will be the home to eight days of practice. You will be able to follow Carlos’ progress via www.carlossainz.es.
