Hungarian GP, 17th-19th of July 2020
Hungaroring (4,318 metres, 15 corners, in the calendar since 1986)
- The Hungaroring plays host to the third round of the 2020 Formula One season.
- Carlos Sainz scored points in his four previous visits to the track.
- Two highlights among his finest performances are the Qualifying session of 2018, in which he clinched P5 under the rain, and his P7 finish in the race of last year.
"The Hungaroring itself is a very different challenge to Austria for the MCL35, so it will come in handy to get a clearer picture of the strengths of each car. It is still too early to draw any conclusions, but I am happy that the car is where we expected it to be. The Hungaroring has many medium-speed corners. They are very flowing, so in order to get up to speed it is important to feel confidence in your car. I have a good feeling about the MCL35, but we still have to work on it in order to optimize its set-up and extract its maximum potential. I know that the team is working in the right direction and we will fight to score a good result".
