Carlos Sainz aims to make a step forward with Williams in Silverstone
Carlos Sainz returns this weekend to Silverstone, the home race for the Williams team and also the racetrack where he tested a Formula 1 car for the first time in July 2013 and where he clinched his maiden race win in the series in 2022.
The Williams FW48 is set to receive a small upgrade after several races where he has suffered from a deficit in medium and high-speed corners. Carlos is confident that these new parts will allow them to take a step forward both in Qualifying and the race itself.
Silverstone will pose multiple challenges to every driver: Pirelli has brought the three hardest compounds of its range to handle the high lateral forces and energy management is set to play a big role because the FIA has reduced the harvest limits and this track is known for its flowing corners but also its heavy-breaking points.
