Carlos Sainz completes the triple-header in Brazil, where he got his maiden F1 podium
Carlos Sainz will race this weekend in the Sao Paulo GP at Interlagos, the track where he clinched his maiden Formula 1 podium back in the 2019 season and also the last race of a triple-header that started two weeks ago in Austin.
The Brazilian track is one of the few in the calendar which is driven counter-clockwise, which poses an additional stress on the drivers. It is also known for its very abrasive surface, although turns 3, 5, 8 and 9 have now been resurfaced.
The weather is set to play a key role: showers are forecast for Friday and rain is expected to have a more constant presence come the weekend.
