- Race: P5, 63 laps

• Carlos Sainz finished fifth in the Emilia Romagna GP, where strategy played a key role given how hard it was to overtake on track.
• The Ferrari race driver started fourth and defended this position throughout the entire first stint from McLaren’s Oscar Piastri.
• When the pit window opened, Piastri pitted four laps earlier than Carlos and undercut him for fourth place.
• In the second half of the race, Carlos secured fifth place despite not feeling comfortable in the car.

“I cannot be happy after what was a tough race for me. I need to review it with the team to understand why I’ve not been comfortable with the car both in qualifying and today pace-wise".
