Carlos Sainz clinches a brilliant pole in the United States GPSaturday, 22 October 2022

- Qualifying: P1, 1:34.356, 14 laps
- Carlos clinched today in Austin the third pole position of his Formula 1 career and the first one of a Spanish driver in the United States.
- On a day with strong gusts of wind, the Spaniard led Q1 (1:35.297) using a single set of Soft tyres that he carried to Q2 (1:35.590), where he was able to make the cut without any extra sets of tyres.
- Carlos had two sets available for Q3 and climbed to the top of the standings with a flawless lap (1:34.356) on his last attempt.
