Carlos Sainz returns to Monza, home of the Tifosi

Italian GP, Autodromo Nazionale di Monza (5.793 meters, 11 corners, in the calendar since 1950)

  • Carlos Sainz returns this weekend to one of the most special circuits in the calendar: the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza, where he raced as a ‘local’ driver in front of the Tifosi in the past four seasons.
  • The Williams race driver holds good memories from this track, where he has visited the podium in two occasions so far: he finished second in 2020 and third in 2023.
  • Carlos wants to use the Italian GP to leave behind the unfortunate situation he experienced last Sunday in Zandvoort, where an incident with a rival prevented him from scoring some good points for the Championship.

QUOTES:
“Heading to Monza this week, I have a lot of fond memories here from my previous years in F1, so I’m looking forward to making some new ones with Williams and getting behind the FW47 around this incredibly fast track. I’m very confident we’ll be bouncing back from last weekend and I’m really looking forward to having a solid week at this amazing venue!".
