• Carlos Sainz worked intensively on the set-up of his car, finding the feeling as the day advanced.
• He completed 21 laps on the Hard tyre in Free Practice 1, where he also used the Soft compound. In Free Practice 2 he combined the Soft for his fast runs with the Medium for the long stins. He covered 21 laps on the latter.
• The Spanish race driver will now put all his attention to the preparation of Qualifying, probably the most important of the entire season given how difficult it is to overtake on track.

“It was a challenging Friday for me. I struggled to find consistency in the car and played around quite a bit with the set-up. For the last stint of the day, I was happier and the long run was positive. We will focus on carrying that feeling into tomorrow's practice as we prepare for qualifying".
