Carlos Sainz overcomes without any issues an eventful Friday in Japan

Friday, 4 April 2025:
- Free Practice 1: P10,  1:29.333, 28 laps
- Free Practice 2: P10, 1:28.832, 9 laps

  • Four red flags due to crashes and incidents related to the track compromised heavily the running plan of all the teams in the second practice session of the Japanese GP.
  • Carlos Sainz gathered experience in the Soft and Medium tyres in the first practice session, although the many disruptions that ocurred in Free Practice 2 meant he was not able to follow the scheduled running plan, just as the other drivers.
  • Saturday’s morning practice now becomes vitally important to answer any remaining questions and fine-tune the car's setup before it enters parc fermé in Qualifying.

QUOTES:
“An eventful Friday here in Suzuka. During FP1 we managed to test a few things on the car and do some good running. However, FP2 was very disrupted and I really couldn’t get a proper read of the things we wanted to try out, although it seemed we were working in the right direction. It’s going to be a hectic FP3 for everyone tomorrow, there’s a lot of things to try and the wind direction is going to change, so the cars may feel very different compared to today. I hope Jack is feeling well after his incident and tomorrow he can be back at it".

COMING UP:
Saturday, 5 April 2025
- Free Practice 3: 11:30 local time (04:30 CEST)
- Qualifying: 15:00 local time (08:00 CEST)
