• Carlos Sainz only ran in the second free practice session of the Bahrain GP, because in the first one he lent his car to Williams’ reserve driver Luke Browning.
• The Spaniard matched his teammate’s time to the tenth in his Qualifying simulation and he then focused on his race preparations.
• The long run revealed that the set-up of the FW47 can still be improved and Carlos will work together with his team in order to take another step forward tomorrow.

QUOTES:
“After skipping FP1 we got up to speed pretty quickly in the short run, and then in the long run we struggled with some car balance issues and tyres, but we’ll do some work tonight to see if we can sort them. The track and the car feel completely different to when we were here for testing, so we need to make a few adjustments to make sure that we hit the sweet spot tomorrow.”
