P9 and high mileage for Carlos Sainz in Free Practice 2 at Spanish GP

• The Spaniard of McLaren was the driver that completed the most laps in the second session of the day, 45 in total on the soft and hard tyres.
• In this session, Carlos ran for the very first time with the latest aerodynamic upgrades of the MCL34.
• He will turn his attention now to analysing the latest package and optimize the set-up ahead of Saturday’s Qualifying and Sunday’s race.

"We are more or less where we expected. We managed to analyse the new aerodynamic package, which I was able to test during Free Practice 2. I felt some differences and got a feeling of it. Now we have to see how we manage to optimize it and understand it better for tomorrow. I think my race pace was good, although the track was not in optimal conditions".
