Suzuka, October 4th 2018.- Carlos Sainz has arrived at the Suzuka Circuit, home to the Japanese GP, which this weekend will be held at the legendary track.
Suzuka is one of the oldest circuits in the calendar. It held its first race back in 1987 and has been in the calendar ever since, only missing the 2007, 2008 and 2009 events. 2018 will mark its 30th Grand Prix in the series.
Tyres available for the weekend are the medium, the soft and the supersoft. Carlos will have two sets of the white rubbers, three of the yellow ones and eight of the red. Weather forecasts are positive, although there is risk of rain on Friday.
"Suzuka is a circuit which I like. It is an old-school track. There are some circuits that remain you of a parking lot, but here you find yourself in a real circuit. I am eager to get out on track and to fight for a good weekend".
"In this track, you really need to feel comfortable with the car in order to attack the corners. We have worked a lot on this in the past few races and I think we’ve done it. We will attack the Esses with confidence".
The Japanese GP will begin on Friday with the two opening Free Practice sessions, which will be held at 10:00 and 14:00 local time (03:00 and 07:00 Spanish time). As always, you will be able to follow Carlos through social media and on his official website www.carlossainz.es.
