Carlos Sainz, twelfth in Free Practice 3 at the Singapore GP

As the vast majority of the grid, he only used the ultrasoft compound

Singapore, September 16th 2017.- The second day of the Singapore Grand Prix has begun an Carlos Sainz has set the twelfth fastest lap in the third Free Practice session, held this morning at the Marina Bay circuit.

With an air temperature of 29 degrees and 35 degrees on track, Carlos has waited a few minutes before hitting the track. He has done so using a brand-new set of ultrasoft tyres. In his first stint, he has picked-up his pace progressively. He was ninth (1:44.001) and had completed 10 laps by the time the session was interrupted with a red flag.

Carlos used a second set of ultrasofts when the green flag was waved into the air. Thanks to the track improvement and the better weather conditions, the Spaniard of Scuderia Toro Rosso improved to 1’43”421 on a seven-lap stint. He finished the session in twelfth position.

Coming up is the Qualifying session, which will begin at 21:00 local time, 15:00 Spanish time. As always, we will keep an eye on Carlos via his official website and our Twitter account @carlosainzinfo.
