Tuscan GP, 11th-13th September 2020
Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello (5,245 metres long, 14 corners, in the calendar since 2020)
- The Tuscan GP wasn’t scheduled initially for the 2020 F1 season, but it was confirmed in July after the cancellations of the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Carlos Sainz heads to his first race in Mugello just some days after scoring a formidable second place in the Italian GP, his best result as a Formula 1 driver.
"This weekend is our first time racing in Mugello, so it is still unknown how the corners and the asphalt will affect our car. This circuit has some similarities to Silverstone and Suzuka, but is special in its own way. It is very different to the rest of tracks in the calendar, so it will be important that we get used to it straightaway in order to fight for a good result".
"My motivation is always high, but after the podium in Monza I have even more. The feeling with the car has improved in the past few weeks and we are doing some very good races, when the problems stay away. I am really looking forward to it, even though I always start from scratch in a weekend, regardless of how good or bad the previous one was".
