- The Spaniard of Renault recovered the track-time lost in the morning session to wrap-up Free Practice 2 with 43 laps under the belt.
- He performed a 16-lap long run on medium tyres, plus two stints of 7 and 13 laps.
- He set his fastest time on the ultrasoft compound, on which he completed 14 laps, included a 9-lap run.
- On Saturday he is set to receive the team’s brand-new front-wing, tested today by his team-mate.
"We did many tests today. In the morning session we lost track-time due to a technical issue, so we pushed hard in the afternoon to gain experience. I thank the team for getting the car ready for the second session. Our pace was pretty fine in the long-runs, so we will go for it".
