- Free Practice 3: P5, 1:20.128, 23 laps
- Qualifying: P3, 1:19.166, 16 laps
- Carlos set the third fastest time overall in the Qualifying session of the Spanish GP and thus he will take the start from the clean side of the grid this Sunday.
- The Spanish Ferrari driver changed the chassis overnight, as yesterday the mechanics spotted an anomaly after the second practice session.
- Carlos made it through (1:19.892) and Q2 (1:19.453) with a single new set of Soft tyres in each session and saved two brand new sets for the Q3 (1:19.166).
QUOTES:
“Overall P3 is a decent result for tomorrow and I feel positive for the race as the upgrades seem to be working well. I still struggle a bit with the rear being very light in this car, not driving it exactly the way I would like to. However, I still managed to grab P3, which is a good position to attack tomorrow. We’ll give everything from there to fight for the win!”.
“Thank you to the mechanics for their hard work overnight to change the chassis and also to every fan out there in the grandstands for their incredible support. Let’s race tomorrow!”.
