- Productive Friday for Carlos at the Hungaroring: P8 with a fastest lap of 1:18.495 and another 38 laps under his belt, adding up to the 32 he completed in the morning session.
- Track-temperatures rose well above 50 degrees, the highest values seen so far this season.
- Tyre management was a key talking point, with Carlos completing two runs of seven and nine laps, a shorter stint in which he set his fastest time and a race simulation of 19 laps.
"We seem to be doing a little bit better in this circuit. The stop-watch doesn’t lie, we were closer to where we want to be. We have to wait until tomorrow, because things could change or temperatures could be different, but overall I have a positive vision of the weekend".
"Hungary is a track I really like when you are on a flying lap. It is really hard to put together the perfect lap. We spend less time flat-out and that benefits us".
"I will welcome the rain if it does rain as some forecasts suggest, especially if it is on Sunday, but we seem to be doing alright on dry. The goal for tomorrow is to make it to Q3. The ideal thing would be putting ourselves on P7 and P8, as the best of the midfield".
