Chinese GP (Shanghai International Circuit (5,451 meters, 16 corners, in the calendar since 2004)
- Carlos Sainz is ready to take part in the Chinese GP, the first of six Sprint weekends that he will tackle in the 2025 Formula 1 season.
- This format means that the Spanish race driver will not be able to make any changes to the set-up of his Williams FW47 between the start of Sprint Qualifying and the end of Saturday’s Sprint.
- Carlos has moved on from the Australian GP and is confident that he has a good opportunity ahead to fight for points.
QUOTES:
“Australia was a great start to the season for the team, although it proved more challenging for me".
"We will take all our learnings from Melbourne and focus our attention on China – our first Sprint event of the season and a good opportunity to get my season going. The track is quite unique and includes one of the longest straights of the season, so it’s a new challenge for the car’s characteristics across these different track layouts"-
“The Sprint weekend means we only have one practice session, which is maybe not ideal this early in the season. However, there are more opportunities to score some points, which becomes a big motivation. Can’t wait to jump back in the car again!”
