Carlos Sainz, ahead of the Bahrain GP: "This track usually suits us well"

Sakhir (5,412 metres, 15 corners, in the calendar since 2004)

PREVIOUSLY:

  • Carlos Sainz faces this weekend the first leg of the final triple-header of the 2020 Formula 1 season.
  • The McLaren driver, fifth two weeks ago at the Turkish GP, wants to keep up the fight for the third place of the Constructors’ Championship as he continues to climb up in the Drivers’ standings.

QUOTES:
“We should be stronger in Bahrain than in the previous events, even though it is still too early to say where we will be. What we know for sure is that traditionally has suited us well, so I hope this year is more of the same. We scored crucial points for the team in Turkey and we know that consistency is going to be a key factor in this final three races. We want to score as many points as possible to maximize our options in the Championship”.
