  • Albert Park Circuit: 5,303 meters, 16 corners, in the calendar since 1996
  • Carlos has scored points in four of his five appearances on the track.
  • Best result: P8 in 2017

The start of a new World Championship is always an exciting time, although this year the entire paddock is closely following the situation regarding the coronavirus Covid-19. Carlos and the rest of McLaren Racing are monitoring it. So far the Chinese Grand Prix has already been postponed, but at the moment in time the Australian Grand Prix remains unaffected.

"The situation regarding the coronavirus worries us all, but we are drivers. We have to trust the authorities. From my side, I really want to see the result of all the work we did this pre-season. We have a good understanding of the car, but until the first race you never know your true performance compared to your rivals. We will only know for sure after Qualifying, so I am really looking forward to get in the car tomorrow”.
