Carlos Sainz arrives at Silverstone: "It is a circuit for drivers, definitely"

The English track is one of Carlos' favourites

Silverstone, 5th of July 2018.- The Formula 1 British Grand Prix is the third race in a row for the sport, un unprecedented calendar scheme that finishes at one of Carlos Sainz's favourite racing tracks in the world, the Silverstone Circuit, where the Spaniard of the Renault Sport Formula One Team had his first Formula 1 experience.

This is the place where Renault made its Formula 1 debut, back in the 1977 British GP. It was with the help of the revolutionary RS01 Turbo, which introduced the turbo technology still present in Carlos' 2018 R.S.18.

Carlos has worked on the data of the Austrian GP together with his team in order to optimize the preparations for the ever-demanding Silverstone Circuit.
Pirelli will introduce its hard compound for the very first time this season. Carlos will have one set of it, plus two sets of the medium one and ten of the yellow, which is set to be the predominent option for the weekend. They all belong to the thinner-tread version of the original P Zero.

"Silverstone is definitely one of my favourite circuits in the calendar. It is very fast, a circuit demanding for drivers. It is difficult to pick-up one part of it, but my favourite one is the middle sector. Maybe it is the best sector in the entire world. You go flat-out through Copse feeling the rush, then it gets better with Maggotts, Becketts and Chapel, fast-flowing S-turns. It is super exciting".

Free Practice for the British GP will begin tomorrow Friday at 11:00 Spanish time (10:00 local time). You will be able to follow Carlos' day to day at Silverstone via his social media channels and his offical website www.carlossainz.es.
